Spatial Design Concept
The homeowners, a young couple with a black Shiba Inu, were inspired by their pet's habit of resting in sheltered nooks, which led to the concept of a cave-like sanctuary. Their preference for earthy tones, along with an abundance of lush indoor plants and tactile, weathered wall finishes, shaped the design into a warm and grounding environment. Curved lines extend throughout the interior, while muted, textured colors convey the sensation of dwelling in a cocoon of comfort. Unexpectedly, these elements also evoke the exotic richness of Moroccan style—where earthy minimalism meets vibrant cultural expression. The result is a home that is both rooted and expressive, balancing wabi-sabi restraint with Moroccan ambience.
